2023 Spur Road Mendocino County Pinot Blanc

    $35

Pinot Blanc, being a mutation from Pinot Noir, is a true white wine. Adding to our collection of Pinot wines we thought this would be the logical next step. Picked in the early days of September, we whole bunch pressed one ton of grapes from Mendocino. Using a basket press adds an extra dimension of texture but does lessen yield. After a painstakingly slow fermentation the wine spent nearly 7 months on lees in stainless steel drums to help develop more texture and balance. We are proud to have this be our first vintage of Pinot Blanc and are eager to see this wine develop over the years.

  • Bottle of wine resting among grapevines with lush green leaves.

The second release of Nozzari Vineyard Pinot Noir. Hand harvested before first light and separated into two cuvees, the first being predominantly whole cluster and the second entirely destemmed. With some light foot treading and delicate punchdowns allowed for a soft extraction. Each cuvee spent half its time in neutral oak before blending together 6 months prior to bottling. Hand bottled, labelled and waxed.
